Default Problem with fast forward and rewind

    My Mezzmo version is 3.3.0.0
My device is a new Philips 42PFL5907 and I have Mezzmo set to the Philips 2012 profile.
    All video files play flawlessly.
What do I need to do to enable fast-forward and rewind?

    Thanks

    Hi ks,

Glad that your videos are playing well with Mezzmo v3.3.

FF/REW may not be available when Mezzmo server is transcoding your videos on-the-fly. Some devices, such as your TV, may not let you FF/REW since they get confused about the file size of the transcoded file (i.e. when you try to FF, you may be moving to a part of the file that has not been transcoded as yet and some devices reject this). The work around for this is to pre-transcode the file before streaming it. Mezzmo lets you pre-transcode individual files or folders of files or your complete Mezzmo library so it is ready to play on your device(s). See this FAQ how to pre-transcode - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nscoding-Files

Thank you. That fixed the fast forward and rewind.

I have one more question on this subject. Is there a setting to adjust the fast forward speed. It seems it only fast forward in 5-7 second increments. Can this be increased?

    Thanks

Glad fast forward & rewind are working now.

Unfortunately, fast forward is a feature of your device and not Mezzmo server. Your device requests what parts of the file it wants and Mezzmo simply delivers it to the device.
