Thread: Changing Auto-Extracted Subtitles Location

  1. #1

    Question Changing Auto-Extracted Subtitles Location

    As title, is this possible? Currently it tries to extract to either "Temporary_Subtitle_Files" in the AppData folder, or "\Users\<username>\Videos\Subtitles". I want to completely change this to a different drive.

    I Could make it a junction point, but that is yucky, and don't really want to have to do that unless there's no other way.

    You can set the path where embedded subtitles are extracted to using the MezzmoMediaServer.ini file. Follow these steps:

    • Stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo.
    • Using Windows Explorer, go to the following folder:
      C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Conceiva\Mezzmo (for Windows 8, 7, Vista users)
      C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Conceiva\Mezzmo (for Windows Xp users)
    • Edit the MezzmoMediaServer.ini file with Notepad.
    • Add the following line under the [Subtitles] section:
      EmbedCachedFolder=<folder> (where <folder> is your preferred folder - e.g. D:\Temp\MezzmoSubtitles)
    • Save your changes and run Mezzmo.

    Cheers worked a treat

    I did check the file but because that setting didn't already exist in the file, I didn't know about it
