Default Using the Folder view, started having troubles with missing folder and ordering

I have my video files structured in a folder hierarchy that I prefer to use when selecting media to play. Everything was fine, at least up until installing the latest version (3.4.2) but I can't swear it started exactly with that update or slightly later. But what's happening is at some levels within my folder structure I'll be missing folders and the list will suddenly be in a strange order. And I suppose somewhat stranger is how I'll first see it display correctly, then flash to the bad order, then flash to correct display, and then back to the bad order and then it stays there. It happens in a number of folders. I'll even sometimes see it show some of the missing folders at the next level as if they were subfolders of the folder where they should be shown (and where they physically exist on the volume).

There's nothing different about any security settings. Nothing displays wrong in the Mezzmo program, but on the device, it's now always messed up going through Folder view.

I really don't want to regenerate my database (again), as I end up losing play count/last played time. And this is just Folder view; maybe the database has the metadata for files, but is it using the database to structure the hierarchy of folders it displays on the device? (I'm using a Sony PS3).

That does sound strange. It's best we see a set of logs when you browse your folders on your PS3. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Reproduce the problem you mention on your PS3 and then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. In your email, point out what folder listing is wrong so we can see the problems.

I'm not sure what to make of this but last night I tried accessing the server through my Windows Phone, and it was showing the folders correctly. So I thought I'd reboot the PS3 in case it was the problem. But I noticed there was a system update available so I did that as well and when it finished and rebooted I was able to access the Mezzmo server and now folders are showing correctly.

So for the time being I'll blame it on the PS3 somehow getting into a state working with the Mezzmo server that led it it having troubles. Perhaps it caches some data for some reason that survives the server disappearing and reappearing on the PS3 that affected the display of the folders. I'll watch for it recurring and if rebooting the PS3 solves it again.
