    Default Subtitles question

    Hello,

I'm interested in purchasing mezzmo if it can solve my issue I'm having.

I am wanting to stream anime from my computer to my TV, they are linked via a home network and the TV has a built in DLNA client application. The TV is a Panasonic Viera E60.

The issue I am having is that when its playing the subtitles are white with no background so they blend into a lot of scenes and are very hard to read. Has anyone heard of an issue like this before..? If so do you know what I should do to fix it?

Two things you can do to fix this problem:

    • Check the settings on your TV to see if you can change the subtitle color or size. Some TVs and devices let you do this.
    • If you cannot change the subtitle display settings on your TV, then you can change the font, color, text size, outline, background, etc. for subtitles in Mezzmo. These settings are used when Mezzmo burns subtitles. To change the subtitle settings, go to the Options dialog (Subtitles page) and click the click Global Settings button.

Next, to force Mezzmo to burn subtitles for your videos (so your preferred subtitle style is used), go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your device. On the Device Settings dialog, go to the Subtitles tab and turn off the 'Stream external subtitles' and 'Stream embedded subtitles' checkboxes. Note: your videos will be transcoded now to burn subtitles into them. Now, go to the Transcoding tab on the Device Settings dialog and delete your transcoded files so that your subtitle style changes are used for all your videos - including those that may been already transcoded.
