Hi, this is usually the result of a corrupt program database file, you can delete the database file to fix this error. Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Conceiva\DownloadStudio and delete all files in this directory, when you next start DownloadStudio the database will be created again.

    Default Download Studio Error

Have today installed Wincap 4.1.3 in Windows 7 compatibility mode on my Windows 8 x64 machine. I then installed DownloadStudio and cancelled the latter Wincap side of the install but on trying to open the Downlaod studio app I get an error message on startup - "Unable to load data file" I have browsed to the path C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Conceiva\DownloadStudio and the only item in the folder is logo.gif - I have deleted the folder and it recreates it (and logo.gif) but I still keep getting error message.

    Other things I have tried:
    (1) Rebooting the PC
    (2) uninstalling and reinstalling both DownloadStudio and WinCap

Is there anything else I can try?

Note: This is only a trial version and I have never installed or used the software before today.

    Regards

Thank you Peter! My computer was unable to load the data file for several days. I followed your suggestion, deleted all of the file and now Download Studio is working beautifully again!
