Question Codec not supported on Samsung LE40C650

    Hello,

One of my movies doesn't play using Mezzmo on my Samsung tv; giving an error message stating that the codec is not supported. Could someone maybe take a look at it? Here is the FFMpeg info:

    Code:
FFmpeg version SVN-r24894, Copyright (c) 2000-2010 the FFmpeg developers
      built on Aug 24 2010 15:03:07 with gcc 4.4.0
      configuration: --enable-static --disable-shared --enable-memalign-hack --enable-libmp3lame --extra-cflags=-I/c/msys/local/include --extra-ldflags=-L/c/msys/local/lib --enable-zlib --enable-w32threads --extra-cflags=-fno-common --enable-gpl --enable-libx264 --disable-ffplay --disable-ffprobe --disable-ffserver --enable-runtime-cpudetect --extra-cflags=-U__STRICT_ANSI__

      libavcodec 52.86. 1 / 52.86. 1

I had the error "video codec not supported" trying to view video's using the wireless option on my samsung tv or my samsung bluray player, but once I added encoding to the video's having this error using Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 (free version) http://www.microsoft.com/expression/..._Overview.aspx it fixed this issue.

So, using allshare or DNLA wirless streaming video, what some files are missing is the correct encoding! I was able to do this to .wmv, avi and mov files. Either seperately or making a windows live movie maker wmv file and encoding that final result. Why no one has this info posted anywhere I looked (and I looked high and low) I have no idea, but yeah theres the fix..

You should not need to re-encode your files manually (although you can if you wish) since Mezzmo transcodes your files on-the-fly.
