    Default Renaming videos files

    Hi,

Just wondering if the below would work (would like to re rip my M4V files as MP4 files, keeping stats)

Can the option that allows you to change the location of the files be used at file name level, the option that allows old location C:\users\paul\videos to be changed to e:\videos

    could I put in here
    old location
    e:\videos\movies\movie_title.m4v
    new location
    e:\videos\movies\movie_title.mp4

So that in Mezzmo the film 'movie_title' now points to the mp4 file, keeping ratings etc

    Thanks

    Hi Paul,

Since the file container (and probably the attributes for the video and audio channels inside the new container) have changed, the entry in your Mezzmo library needs to be fully re-scanned to work properly in Mezzmo. You really need to remove the old M4V file and add the new MP4 file. The Maintain Library dialog can do all this for you.

    Thanks

Thought that might be the case but wanted to check, it's not a huge amount so will start doing as you mention over Christmas holidays
