Thread: Drobo 5n NAS Support?

  1. #1

    Default Drobo 5n NAS Support?

Great software and been using it for years. Just picked up a Drobo 5n for storing my Media files for now on. I will still be using the Mezzmo DLNA software on my windows 7 with the drobo.

On my Playstation 3 I can see Mezzmo (like always) and I see my drobo folder and other folders on my windows 7 computer. But when im on my PS3 I go into my drobo folder and there isnt anything but "there are no titles".

Now I do have to Movie folders in there with movies files that have been copied from another local drive on my computer (So I do know the files do work).
My drobo is setup with public / anonymous sharing of folders and files. So I dont think I need to setup the user and passwords like in your tutorals.

Anyone else have the same issues and have found a solution yet?

It probably is related to access permissions. To confirm this, we can see a set of logs. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Try to browse the folder/playlist on your PS3 and when it says no titles, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all log files and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Sent a new log file and details on a new account i made up. Maybe a video would help us all on how to do this or someone out there make a video. this is starting to be a waste of my time.

I had the same problem yesterday after I added a folder from a new media player. After trying numerous things, including Windows credentials and re-installing the program, I fixed the problem by using "Tools > Set Up Your Mezzmo Library."

tools > set up your mezzmo library WORKED. Awesome. Do we need the windows Credentials and window services setup anymore? I got it to work with those already setup with "setup your mezzmo" and i dont want to remove them since its working right now.

Paul, is this a bug in the program, or is it by design? One would think that files would appear to devices simply by using the "Add Folder" option.
