Default Finds video files on website, but will not download them

I am having problems downloading videos from a website...

I have successfully set up my download filters, and DownloadStudio successfully finds the video files I want to download. However, instead of downloading them it just simply queues them and remains in a permanently 'downloading' state without actually downloading a single byte of video... I don't have any restriction on file size or number.

I have had no problem downloading images from the same site, and was wondering what my problem might be?

Any answers would be most appreciated... Thanks.

    Hi TJay,

    The most likely causes are:

    • The site does not like too many connections from the same IP address (i.e. you) and is restricting access. Stop all the download jobs and change the Connections in DownloadStudio to 1 as a test. Then try to download the files now. If that works, then you know that the site has connection limiting. I suggest you create a Site Rule for this site and that will tell DownloadStudio to limit connections to this site. Go to the Options dialog to set a Site Rule.
    • The site is currently having problems or is busy. Try again in an hour, or try copying one of the download URLs into your web browser and see if it can download the file.
