Default Not working Oppo BDP profile

    Hello

Got problem with Oppo BDP profile.

MKVs are playing excellent but e.g. avi files are not seen in player's browser.

If I choose other profile (right now I don't remember which one) , avi movies appear in browser (as MPEG)
but choosing them goes to the browser back.

Sometimes other profiles make all media files as MPEG but nothing works then.

IS any other way to edit/customize profile files or manual only? Some wizard or utility would be great.

    Hello,

AVI files need to be transcoded to MPEG - can you please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and I'll send you a patched version of the server that may fix your issue.

The only current way to edit device profiles is by hand and I'll be happy to help you with any aspect of that as well.

I've updated Mezzmo to 2.1.9.0 and now Oppo player shows all video files as MKV. Real MKVs working just fine , other ones - player shows "Player does not support playback of this file".

As seen in the log file above transcoder outputs to matroska format instead of mpeg2 , why ?

Another interesting behaviour : Current Oppo BDP-83 firmware doesn't allow to stream audio LPCM format but .... with Mezzmo LPCM works very fine , how can it be ? Other DLNA servers don't work as PCM.

The current profile will pick MKV if your input file has h264/mpeg4 as the video stream (to optimize transcoding speed). I'd like to get it going with transcoded MKVs, as I believe they're better than MPEG2.

I'd still ask you to send a message to support, because I need your e-mail address to send out a patch to try

On the Oppo, do LPCM show up as LPCM? If so, that means the firmware does support them, even if it says it doesn't... Don't know why
