Installed Mezzmo yesterday. I've been reading about their own media player. When I play a file within the server, it opens Windows Media Player. Have I misunderstood something?
Thanks

Mezzmo does not include its own media player. If you try to play a file in Mezzmo, it will play the file in the default associated program for that file type on your computer.
We did have a media player in the very first version of Mezzmo, but we discontinued it since we really want to concentrate on Mezzmo being the best DLNA media server. And, there's already many good software meda players for you to choose - Windows Media Player, VLC, etc.

VLC is very hard to use to stream. You should try to use XBMC or Windows Media Player. You should be able to see Mezzo in Windows Media Player. You can add in XBMC the Mezzmo media server and view it on the computer.
