Default WD TV Play and MPEG2 streams

I have a lot of DVDs that I would like to convert to MKV container. The easiest way for me to to that is using MakeMKV. Its fast and it doesnt convert the video stream. It stays MPEG2 so no quality degradation. However the WD TV Play cant play MKV containers with MPEG2 streams. Is there any way i can get Mezzmo to transcode the MPEG2 into h264 og similar?

Make sure you have the 'WD TV Play' device profile selected in the Media Devices dialog for your device and Mezzmo will automatically transcode these files to a compatible format - typically MPEG-TS (H264, AC-3).

OK - check that transcoding is turned on. Two places to check: (i) Go to the Transcoding Settings dialog to check this, and (ii) Go to the Transcoding tab on the Device Settings dialog to check this.

It's best we see a set of logs. Undo any changes you have made to the WD TV Play device profile. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your WD TV Play device. On the Device Settings dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and delete all transcoded files. Now connect to Mezzmo from your WD TV Play and try to play a few videos. When they fail to play, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
