Default iOS NPlayer Compatability (Profile Issue from Mezzmo)

I have Nplayer installed on my iPad and iPhone.
    https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/npla...539397400?mt=8
It works great except for some .mkv files
It displays audio codec not available.

I am hoping someone else also has this problem but knows how to fix it.
Is it just a case of applying a different Mezzmo profile to my iPad?
The profile is currently set to Generic PAL

It's best we create a device profile for this app so streaming works perfectly for all formats supported by the app. Email us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com and we'll provide a device profile to try.

(iPhone Client): Nplayer only scans the local LAN network. You can THEN edit that with the WAN IP and port number and theoretically it should work....However, Mezzmo requires a "/desc" after the port#...and this is not supported by most DLNA players (especially those that place the port# on a separate line or automatically place it there like nPlayer). If it wasn't for that, or if it could be somehow removed in settings/registry, it should work. nPlayer is my favorite player of all because it supports every file out there but also does Chromecast, DTS and AC3 to make a few...AirPlayer (by Olimsoft-because there are more than one), does support a one-line Host entry and you add the full URL including the "/desc" in the end but it lacs soooooo many other features. Hopefully Paul remembered this original old post now that the company is working on their new versions.

    Hi Webassist,

We don't fully understand the issue. Mezzmo is DLNA compliant and works with most (all?) DLNA devices and apps. Can you email us detailed information about this to support [at] conceiva [dot] com? Please include example DLNA/UPnP communication between Mezzmo and Nplayer. Show what is wrong with this communication and what you think Mezzmo should do to make it work. If all makes sense, then we may be able to add the changes you request.

When accessing remotely* this is the format: http://WAN-IPaddress:Port/desc
However, most apps that I have tested (and I tested A LOT!) do NOT support one-line URL editing that can allow one to enter the above URL format. They have a data-field for Host where
we need to put the WAN-IP, another for Login/password (that are optional), and one for the port number....There is no way to put the "/desc" into those apps and therefore they are unable to access Mezzmo over
WAN. Do you have a copy of nPlayer to test Remote access?

*(By accessing remotely I mean being able to access and watch any movie on your Mezzmo library Outside the local network, from another place...on the road...a vacation home or wherever you have or can connect to the internet).

Our upcoming Mezzmo v5.0 has full HTTP web streaming so that should work well with nPlayer for your remote access/streaming. We'll try Mezzmo v5,0 here with nPlayer to see how it performs.
