Default WD TV Live Question - "File format unsupported" - Help Needed

I can't seem to get these files to work on my WD TV Live. Mezzmo pushes them fine to my Samsung TV, but I cant seem to push them to a TV connected to a WD TV Live.

I turned on logging on the server and the log file is blank. It looks as if there isnt any transcoding happening (which is why there is nothing in the log file). That said, it seems that the WD needs the video transcoded as the message I get from it is "File format unsupported".

Both Mezzmo and WD TV are both new to me. Could someone give me some advice as to how I may modify the WDTVLIVE.prf file to get this to work? I have included the FFmpeg information (below) for two of the sample videos that I can trying to play. As I said both work on my upstrairs Samsung LN40b650, but not on the WD.

    Thanks in advance.

Please send a message to support (at) conceiva (dot) com and I'll send you an updated device profile that should let you play those files.

Also, please go to Media Devices dialog (if you haven't already) and make sure that "WD TV Live" is selected as your device, because by default it's detected as a DLink DSM750.

I am also new to Mezzmo and have a WD TV Live and have the same problem. I have files that will play on the device selecting it as a windows share, but gives me the unsupported file format message when I try to select and play it through the Mezzmo server.

I don't think the software is quite ready for prime time.

Can you please confirm that "WD TV Live" is selected as your device in Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo? Also, we have an updated device profile available if you send a message to support with more formats support.

I too am having the same problems....I can finally see the movies on the Mezzmo server. At first the Mezzmo server kept not showing any media, my WDTV box kept saying "No Media Present on Drive". Now, i can see the files, but when I try to play them it says File format unsupported (on the WDTV Live box). I do have WDTV Live selected, transcoding turned off, streaming an MKV file, which WDTV can play without transcoding being necessary.

I also think that a 15 day evaluation period isn't long enough to see if this software is worth buying...especially with these types of problems.

Can you please post FFmpeg information on the MKV file that's not playing (in Mezzmo right-click on the file and use the "Get FFmpeg Information" command)?

It's okay now....I uninstalled Mezzmo and installed Twonky, everything works great now.
