Default WD TV Live (Gen 3) not displaying correct Flac tags

    Folks,

My WD TV Live (Gen 3) player is displaying the Creator (Composer) tag in place of the Artist tag when streaming FLAC files.

I contacted WD support, and they suggested that this is a Mezzmo problem. This may not be so, but I thought I'd check with you first.

The Mezzmo server version is 3.4.4.0. The WD TV Live is running the current firmware. The media player profile auto-detected to WD TV Live (Gen 1), but I tried using the WD TV Live Streaming Media Player with exactly the same result.

Incidentally, I do have several first generations units, and these don't suffer the same problem.

    Regards,

    Hi Tony,

Thanks, Tony. Please email us a sample FLAC file and we'll try it here with our WD TV Live players and the upcoming Mezzmo v4.0 that we're currently preparing for release. Zip up the FLAC file and email it to support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

    Paul,

The file is already in compressed (FLAC) format. When I zip it, it is reduced by 2 bytes, and is still 27mB which exceeds my mail limit, and possibly yours.

Is there somewhere else I can drop it? An FTP share?

    Regards,
    tony
