Default Mezzmo and Samsung TV with Softcoded Subtitles

    Hi there,

Firstly great product here and I use this daily. However my only problem is that when I acquire a Film or a TV Show and this said video has [Softcoded] - muxed Subtitles they do not appear on my TV when I stream the file. I cant even have the option to turn them on or off. Does this product not support this or is it my tvs? Samsung C5800 and Samsung D5500.

    Thanks

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

Mezzmo is streaming this MKV file directly to both your Samsung TVs (assuming you are using the Samsung C and Samsung D device profiles). The MKV has embedded subrip subtitles. Your TV models don't support displaying subrip embedded subtitles, so that's why you are not seeing any subtitles. If you want to see subtitles, then you should either burn them into the video by pre-transcoding the video (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nscoding-Files) or download an external subtitle file (e.g. SRT) and placing it into the same folder as your MKV file. See this FAQ for information about subtitles - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...titling-Basics).
