Terrible download speeds with new version 6.0.5.0

Since the upgrade to the new version, I'm getting terrible download speeds, notably with Rapidshare - a total of no more than 200kb/s across all threads. This is not my network link - I can download any of the same files directly in Firefox at over 1MB/s

I have checked and the "limit bandwith" option isn't set. Any other ideas?

Can you try using fewer splits for the download job, the default setting is 10 so try changing it to 5 and see if you get a speed improvement. Each split adds extra work to the download job and there is a performance hit when writing bytes to file, when the file writer is seeking to the correct position in the file no bytes are being downloaded.

Can you tell us which version of DownloadStudio you were using before the upgrade?
