Default Smart playlist showing deleted files

Ive got a Smart playlist with the following parameters:
File Path, Starts with, D:\Movie Path (This is the path on my hdd)
    and
    Duration, Is Less than, 2.10
    and
    Duration, Is Greater than, 1.30

Its set to video only, list 3 items and order by random shuffle.

This gives me a random movie of 'medium' length. (If there's a better way to do this I don't know what - ideally instead of the file path I Would be able to say Library path starts with - so the playlist wouldn't need to know where these files are on the the HDD - which would be much better)

Anyhoo with the list as above, if I remove a file from the folder (Using windows explorer) mezzmo doesn't seem to realize this - and its still feeding files that don't exist to my media streamer - or at least the file-names. When I try to play one of them of course the WD box says it cannot play the file.

Its probably worth noting also that the folders in question are also present in my library - as folders added to a playlist.

You need to run Maintain Library with the "Remove media files form your Mezzmo library that cannot be found on your computer" checkbox selected and that will clean up these deleted-from-disk files.

I found this but when I unchecked the boxes to update the information (IE if I have Update Properties, Subtitles and artwork unchecked) it greys out the Maintain Library button.
I dont really want it wandering off and changing the names and such (Ive had it making a bit of a mess of some of my media with this checked) - just remove things that are not there anymore.

You need to uncheck the "Update information about media files in your Mezzmo library" checkbox and select the "Remove media files from your Mezzmo library that cannot be found on your computer" checkbox.

Which is what I did - at which point the MAINTAIN button is disabled.

The Maintain Library should look like this:

Note: The Maintain Now button is enabled.

If you are still not getting this, then post a screenshot of what your Maintain Library looks like. Also, make sure you are running the latest version (v4.0.5.0).

Ah - now I see. I had unchecked the individual boxes. Thanks.

Are there any plans to maybe allow for a per folder locking of information. Or maybe a means by which I can get mezzmo to try and find the info on a specific folder and verify its correct before it applies it ?
I realize its just looking the data up and its from other sources - in some cases the results are fine - in others it undoes hours of effort I put in to naming the files when I converted them from DVD.
Also is there a simpler way of editing files ? Having to edit each individual file one by one when by right clicking, and pressing properties, clicking on the episode number and clicking ok doesn sound like a hard task - try doing it on 7 seasons of 12 episodes !

Ive seen this achieved in another bit of software called tag scanner (which is for mp3s) - this lets you click on the field you want to edit and edit it in place in the list. When you press enter it moves to the next entry down and keeps you in the same field - so if you are editing the episode number it moves to the next episode number of the next file - if that makes sense. (Maybe just try tag scanner to see what I mean).

    Thanks for the support

We do have batch editing in our development plans as we know it can be a pain. Right now, if you want to make a change to a bunch of files, then you can select all of them (using CTRL or SHIFT keys or via rubber-banding) and right-click on one of the selected files and click Properties. Any changes you make in the Properties dialog will be applied to all the selected files.

Yeah I knew about editing multiples thanks. But obviously that doesnt help with 6 seasons of 24 episodes that all need numbering 1->24
