Hi there
I am evaluating some dlna softwares. Important for me is, that i can set different passwords to different folders. Eg. Folder 1 -> PW abcd, Folder 2 -> PW efgh.
Is that possible with kooraroo?
Many thanks for answering

Passwords via DLNA streaming is messy for users to input and use on your devices. It's better to set parental control restrictions for folders, playlists and files using content ratings. This lets you control what you can see and what your children can see. You can set times when parental control applies (e.g. between 6AM to 9PM) and set parental control individually for each device in your home. If you have an Android device, then using our Mezzmo Android app lets you use a PIN code to bypass content restrictions at any time.

Paul,
This reminds me of a topic we discussed awhile back that I don't recall a resolution. The topic was playlist sharing by IP address with the Android app. The example is my Yamaha receiver which can only play music. So I set playlist sharing so it's IP address only gets the Music playlist and doesn't get video or pictures. This works fine when I use the receiver's native DLNA client (i.e. on the music shows up on the client's menu file browsing) but when I use the Android app and select the device as the Yamaha receiver the Android app will show everything. Obviously I can't do a Play-To "push" to the receiver of anything other than music. The problem as we discussed was that the playlist sharing was based upon the IP address and the Android device has a different IP address than the receiver. Any more thoughts on how to resolve this ? If the Android app understood the permissions on the Mezzmo server that could work but I can see some complicated programming. Or if the Android app could request the playlists "on behalf of" the device when the device is selected in the Android app like another option but probably isn't within the DLNA specs.
Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion. It's an interesting idea & may work well. We'll discuss it here further and add it to our development task list for possible inclusion into Mezzmo Android.
