Thread: Lg tv

    Default Lg tv

    I have a LG 42LE5900 which Mezzmo finds as a generic LG TV.
    When I play Videos on other TV's it shows the Title as shown in Mezzmo but on the LG TV it shows the file name complete with extension e.g moviename.mp4

    Is there any way to modify the profile to fix this?

    Yes - you will need to edit the .PRF device profile file. Follow these steps:

    1. Stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo.
    2. Using Windows Explorer, go to the DeviceProfiles folder (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ofiles-located)
    3. Use a text editor like Notepad to edit the "LGTV.PRF" file.
    4. Remove the extended="3" from the following line:
      <name manufacturer="LG" model="TV" profileactive="1" needsdlnaprotocolinfo="1" needstimebasedseek="0" extended="3" forceconnectionclose="0" needsfileextension="1" maxfilesize="17179869184" understandsciflag="0" supportsupdateids="0" />
    5. Save you changes and run Mezzmo again to see the effect.

    Thanks for the information. You can try the "LG TV (2012 models)" or "LG TV (2013 models)" device profiles. Go to the Media Devices dialog to change the device profile.

    Hi Paul, It is still showing the file names instead of the Display title and the other two models don't work

    OK - it's best we see a set of logs. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo from your TV and reproduce the problem. Then, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
