    Lightbulb Metadata cache and import/export

    Hi,
Having just spent a weekend updating content ratings on far too many kids videos so I can stop them accidentally watching CSI or anything more interesting, here's some thoughts to improve the process

    1. Option to cache the search - DVD pack with 30 episode of Thomas and friends is great for a rainy day. Having to run the same search again and again to pick up the metadata for each episode seems a waste. Far better to be able to recall the last set of results and pick the next one on the list rather than have to type in the terms and wait for each one individually.

    2. Import from file - not sure if there's any standards, eg CSV, some form of XML etc
    3. Export to File - having put all this in, it would be nice if it wasn't locked in the DB but could be exported to other apps or even another instance of Mezzmo

Thanks for the suggestions, Ric. We'll add them to our development task list for further discussion here.

There are several options for reading metadata from external files. I'm sure there are other threads but the below may be a good start. The downside of this solution (for me at least) is that it requires a separate nfo file for each DVD rip.
