Default How to completely remove Mezzmo library info for a video file?

    Hello,

I've had a problem with certain files that wouldn't play back with trick mode (i.e. fast forward, rewind, etc.) on my WD TV Live SMP (but mysteriously work just fine on my older Gen 1 WD TV Live). I managed to resolve the issue by upgrading mkvmerge from 7.0.0 to 7.2.0.

However, when streaming through Mezzmo, the trick mode problem still persists, unless I rename the file. I'd like to keep the original file name, but it appears that Mezzmo has saved certain attributes somewhere that I can't seem to clear out. I've tried running the "Maintain Library" function, and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Mezzmo (asking it to delete its library), however, the problem persists. How do I tell Mezzmo to completely forget its settings for a certain video filename so I can bring it back into Mezzmo completely fresh?

    Thanks,
    Visor

    Hi Visor,

When you delete a file from your Mezzmo library, then it is completely removed from your Mezzmo database. There should not be any remnants of the file's information, attributes, etc. in Mezzmo. To delete a file, select it and press the DEL key on your keyboard.

So, your experience is odd and we'd like to see what's happening via a set of logs. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Exit Mezzmo (Windows) app and start it again. Now reproduce the problem you mention. Once reproduced, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

    Hi Paul,

When I try to delete a file within Mezzmo, this is the message I get:

"You cannot delete files in a folder playlist since they are listed dynamically and are based on the actual files contained in the folders on your computer."

My entrie library is build on folder playlists, so I'm not sure what to do here.

    Thanks,
    Visor

Understand, Visor. As a workaround, you can create a temporary playlist (click 'Create Playlist' -> 'Playlist') and then drag/drop the offending files into the playlist. Now you can delete the files from the playlist and Mezzmo library. This will allow you to remove the files from your library. The next time you navigate into the folder, Mezzmo will pick up the new file(s) and add them back into your Mezzmo library. You can remove the playlist after cleaning up the files.
