    Default Skipping/seeking in Samasung TVs

    Hi,

I know that Samsung TVs have an hardware limitation to not fast forward nor reverse but instead, skip (10 s) forward and backward. OK, we also know (support tells me so...) that skipping is supposed to be disabled until a file is fully transcoded. The problem I have is the following: the skipping is available at my Tv but when I press either << or >> in the remote, the movie ALWAYS starts from the beginning. I was NEVEr able to skip any movie using Mezzmo. Then again, I can't really tell if a file is fully transcoded or not due to another known Mezzmo limitation...

Is there ANY way to look for completed transcoded files? If it means to sniff around the install folder, it's OK by me.
Other question is: is this skipping behavior expected?

I don't any more problems with codecs and subtitles. Every file plays OK, but always stops in the middle due to uncompleted transcoding or I can't skip which basically makes watching a movie, nearly impossible...

Just yesterday the following scenario happened: I was watching a 20 minutes series episode and it stopped around 10 minutes. Now, the only option I have is to watch is from the beginning and HOPE the file is fully transcoded and won't stop again...

I don't know about you, but this isn't a solution for me!

    Hi,

Yes, that experience is not great, I agree. We are still investigating why this could happen and I'll get back to you once we know the cause for sure. The test TV that we have here doesn't exhibit this problem though, which is why it's taking so long to understand and fix.
