Unhappy PHILIPS xxPFL9704H TV - no external subtitles and mkv isnt encoded?

    Hello,

    I like your program but...
On PHILIPS 52PFL9704H some mkv files in most cases bigger files says "not supported file format or cannot find a file" on TV
The external (srt, ass) subtitles doesnt show at all.
It will be really great if you can fix it, I am plannig to be your customer.

    tested on Version: 2.1.10.0

    Thank You!

    Hello,

Can you please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then try to play one of the failing MKVs and once it fails, stop the server and send the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com.

With the external subtitles - we'll need to investigate whether the TV supports them and I'll get back to you on that.

Dennis. The MKV file problem sounds similar to the one I have emailed and supplied you with the two files as an example of the type of files failing on a Sony Bravia.

    Any progress?

    Thanks.

The encoding for Bravia is different to Philips, but of course it may still be failing in the same spot (FFmpeg) - I'll get back to you regarding the Bravia once we find a working solution - hopefully soon.
