Thread: Active Playlist for Unwatched TV

Post Active Playlist for Unwatched TV

    Hi All,

I am trying to create an active playlist to show unwatched TV programs. I have created a filter for play count less than 1 but this causes a problem. If for example I watch S01E01 of a program my TV tries to go to the next item in the list but because S01E01 has been removed S01E02 becomes the first item in the list meaning the TV with play S01E03. If S01E02 is the last item in the list it creates an error telling me the file cannot be found.

I wanted to add an additional filter to prevent this which needs to be "Last Played Date < (Today-1)" but I can't find any info on how to create such a filter.

    Any thought anyone?

We don't (yet) have the ability to add "today" as a keyword to test for. It's a nice idea so we'll certainly discuss it here for possible inclusion into Mezzmo.

Regarding your problem, your device is caching the list of files - but your list of files actually changes (since you watch a TV show and this bumps it off the list). One suggestion is to turn off the Repeat Playlist feature in your device. This will stop your device from automatically proceeding to the next file when one file completes. Check if your device has Repeat settings and set it to None. When set to None, when a file completes, your device returns to the list of files and (hopefully) it is updated with the correct file list by requesting it again from Mezzmo server.
