    Default A few suggestions

    Hello,

I am using Download Studio 6.0.6 and I have some ideas for improvements.

    1. Allow the modification of the settings when a download is active. Often I wish to change a setting, but I can't because the Options item is disabled during an active transfer.

    2. Correct the behavior of the Time Elapsed/Left and Avg. Speed. indications. When adding a new download to the queue, it may remain as pending for some time. In my opinion, the time and average speed measures should start only when the transfer actually starts. As it is now, when a transfer remains in the queue for some time, these values are incorrect.

    3. Use the task bar button to show the download progress.

    4. Offer the last used download folder as default for the next download.

    1. The DownloadStudio options are disabled during download because some settings may affect downloads that are in progress, we will investigate how we can overcome this and try to allow the options to be modified while downloads are active.
    2. We will try and fix this for the next version of DownloadStudio.
    3. This may not work so well when multiple downloads are active, the total progress of all downloads would need to be combined into one progress bar - we will look into this.
    4. There is an option in 'Tools->Options->Downloading' for this 'remember last download folder' but it may be broken, we will try and fix it for the next release

Mushroom, I agree with you - especially with your second point. And the first point about changing settings - I've got the same problem.

There is support for Linux using Wine. Currently there are no plans for native linux support. We have optimized Mezzmo quite a lot, can you please tell us which areas require optimization?
