Default Samsung DLNA TV and External Speaker

I can successfully stream an MKV file to my Samsung 8500 TV. The audio in AC3 format plays througth the TV internal speakers. I have external speakers attached to a Denon receiver that is attached to the TV with an HDMI cable. I cannot seem to find a way to send the audio to the external speakers. It works fine from cable box or Blu-Ray player.

    Any suggestions?

Not sure, but I would guess it's either not configured on the Denon (input <-> output for the selected mode) or on the TV - you'd want to check the manuals for both to see if there's anything missing.
