Default Pretty sure latest update has broken things...

    Hi,
I've been using Mezzmo without issue until the latest update but now I can't stream anything to my PS3 without it stuttering and pausing. I mainly play 720p .mkv files but I've streamed 1080p files without a problem before now. I use 200mpbs homeplugs which are definitely up to the job as like I say it's been ok until the last few days. I've noticed when it's streaming that the CPU usage is at 100% with ffmpeg using the majority of that. I've replaced the ffmpeg.exe with one I downloaded dated today and it still seems to be the same. Pretty sure Mezzmo updated itself a few days ago so it seems a bit of a coincidence that things aren't working now. Are you aware of anything as it's really frustrating me at the moment

    Thanks
    Andy

Update... put a version of ffmpeg from June in the mezzmo folder and doesn't seem to be transcoding now so the CPU is low however a file only plays for a minute or two and then it just pauses. It was doing this before I put the old ffmpeg back as well, not just stuttering but the actual pause symbol appearing on the screen as if I've pressed the start button on the PS3 controller to pause the playback. And it won't resume playing, can only press O to go back to the list of files in the folder. Very strange behaviour and really annoying cos I haven't got a clue what's causing it...

EDIT: Not sure whether it's relevant but a couple of times when I've tried to exit out of mezzmo it's come up with the box saying it's stopped working and asking whether to check the internet or close the program. On both occasions the Fault Module Name was iTunesMobileDevice.dll_unloaded

EDIT2: Think maybe it wasn't showing as transcoding because it was playing from the partly transcoded file because when I tried it again on a different file it did start using 100% CPU again and froze not long after. Something has definitely been broken because up till now it's worked perfectly

I just downloaded Mezzmo to evaluate and am having a similar problem. I am streaming over wireless from a PC to a DLNA enabled Samsung (Series C). I have some mkv videos that are getting transcoded. They start to transcode and the video starts playing but quickly stops. When I look at the transcoded files folder I can see the file but the transcoding has stopped (file size is not increasing) and the CPU is pegged at 100% with the majority being consumed by FFMPG. When I tell Mezzmo to stop transcoding FFMPG remains running and I have to kill it manually. Is there a way to download previous versions to see if the problem goes away?

    Thanks,
    -russ

Can you please turn on logging (see this thread: http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) then try to play the problem file and once it stops, please stop the server and send the logs to support (at) conceiva (dot) com - we already have some updates for the PS3 and Samsung C since 2.1.11, so we'll try those first.

Log file sent, by the way some more info, I did an info on my PS3 while the file was playing and the bitrate for the video (AVC) was on average about 15Mbps, that seems quite high to me, could be wrong but I'm sure it never used to be that high. Current situation is if I play a file I haven't played before it stutters because it's apparently not transcoding it quick enough, if I stop playback on the PS3 mezzmo continues to transcode the file on my PC so if I start playing the file again it will play smoothly up until the point it catches up with how far it's been transcoded and then it will start stuttering again. Only stopping the server on my PC stops the transcoding, until I do that CPU is at 100% with ffmpeg using > 90% of that and other system tasks using what they can get. Hope that's useful?
