chromecast profile to transcode AC3
How can I modify my chromecast profile so that it will transcode AC3 audio?
Chromecast will passthrough AC3, but the TV I have it setup for doesn't support AC3. I'd like to just transocde the audio to stereo/mp3, or even AAC if chromecast can handle that.
Most of my media is in an mp4 container. with AC3 5.1 audio.

My mistake. I had transcoding turned off. It's now transcoding to matroska fake_mp4, keeping the h264 video and convert the AC3 to AAC.
However, since it's transcoding to a new mp4 container I can't seek in the playback.
Does WebM support seeking while encoding? Could this profile be changed to use a WebM container?

Glad you solved your problem.
Chromecast dongles do not let you seek whilst transcoding on-the-fly for either the webm and mp4 file containers. The solution is to pre-transcode your files before playing them. See this FAQ about pre-transcoding - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nscoding-Files.
