Thread: Subtitles in mkv..disable?

    Default Subtitles in mkv..disable?

I have an mkv file with subtitles which are "soft embedded" (according to a bloke on the net....)
When I play to my Samsung TV I don't want these to show .
is there a box to tick somewhere that will disable them?
I am hoping for a simple solution.

Usually, the easiest way is to turn subtitles off using your TV's remote control. When the video is playing on your TV and you see the subtitles, press the Options or Tools or Subtitles button on your TV's remote control. You should be able to find a subtitles menu and that will let you select the subtitles to display (including selecting no subtitles).

If that setting does not exist, then right-click on the video in Mezzmo and click Properties. On the Properties dialog, go to the Subtitles tab and you will see all the subtitles listed there. Unselect the subtitles in the list (turn off the checkboxes) and Mezzmo will not stream them now.

Thanks...I will have a look at that... Some guy told me that if I use the Android app to access Mezzmo server there is an option in there somewhere..
    Again, thanks.

In our Mezzmo Android app, there is an option to turn subtitles on and off for your videos. Give it a try if your TV does not have the setting.
