    Question How to have no Photos in Library?

    Can I create, or re-create, the Mezzmo library with no photos in it? Want only Music and Videos.
    Or get rid of the photos in the existing library?

    Try to create smart playlist with images. Then delete it, and check checkbox "delete files".
    All images will be removed.

    User623, I tried your suggestion. The initial playlist had almost 10,000 entries and trying to delete them all at once CRASHED Mezzmo and no files were removed from the library. However, I was able to select up to 2000 files at a time and successfully delete them from the library.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

    You can always reset your Mezzmo library so it has no files and just the default set of playlists by going to the Tools -> Options dialog (General page) and clicking the Reset Database button. This will create a fresh, empty Mezzmo library.

    If you get further crashes, please email us the crash dump ZIP file so we can fix the problem. When you get a crash, you should see the Mezzmo crash window displayed. Click the 'Go To Folder' button on this window and then email the crash dump ZIP file to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. If the crash dump ZIP file is >10MB, then upload it to a filesharing site like Google Drive, Dropbox, mega.co.nz, etc. and email us the download link.

    Paul, I don't think I saw the crash window on this crash. However, I did see it some days ago and got the crash dump file. However, sending to support [at] conceiva [dot] com failed to be delivered at your end. I didn't know that if it was over 10MB then sending a link was the way to go. So I have done that now. Hopefully it will work this time. Just to be clear, that crash was from a very different scenario than the one I mentioned above in this thread.

    Is it possible to populate the new, empty Mezzmo library with just Music and Videos and no Photos?

    -- Larry

    PS: I wanted to delete my photos from the library because I didn't need them there. I have found that "quick" searches were taking a very long time. Compacting the library database helped but getting rid of all the photo entries helped even more. But a quick search is still pretty slow. Windows typically claims Mezzmo is "Not Responding" while the search is going on.

    Look at Insert->Scan drive/folder

    There you can set extensions which you want to add.

    Hi Larry,

    Got your crash dump file - thanks. We'll analyse it and fix any issues we find.

    When you add your files into Mezzmo, you can specify the types of files that you wish to add using file extensions. Click the Presets button to get lists of popular file extensions for photos, music and video.
