Default Panasonic TX-P42UT50E doesnt see Server without Server RESTART

    Hello,

I have TV as in the title, Using Mezzmo some months and there is always problem with connection.
When i will turn on TV for 9 times per 10, TV will not see the server. When i will restart Server TV will see it.
What i can do with it ? TV has latest software, Mezzmo is the latest version.

I get that alot with my TV (Panasonic 42AS650) but after a few seconds it will find both my media servers - Mezzmo & a Synology NAS.

It's as though it needs that little bit of time to make it's network connections properly & then re-queries successfully.

In the Media Server settings there's a "Server advertisement interval" - maybe in your network this needs to be lowered from what I believe is the default of 86400 secs (24hours).

I'm sure Paul will be in soon to give you the right answer.

When you switch your TV on, it broadcasts itself across your home network and Mezzmo server responds immediately by saying it is a media server. Your TV then lists Mezzmo in its server listing for you to choose. If something blocks this communication, then that can cause Mezzmo not to be listed on your TV. Your router or your firewall is the most common reason for blocking DLNA / UPnP communication. As a test, try turning off your firewall and rebooting your router. That may improve things and help you isolate what is causing the problem. See this FAQ for other possible reasons - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ur-DLNA-device

As TimC mentions, you can try going to the Media Server Settings dialog in Mezzmo and changing the SSDP advertisement interval to a shorter time interval. See http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...ement-interval.

Hello again after some break. Paul, when one problem is solved another comes instead.

After i change to 180s it was working mostly ok.
Now my problem is that i see server on TV and all files but i cant play any of them. As i remember there was recently update of software on TV, maybe there is problem?

    PS.
There is one annoying thing on Mezzmo, that if server cant read some files then after information that it isnt possible i have to turn of media server on TV and go back from TV menu. Other way it doesn't work.

    Hi MarcinP,

The problem may be related to access permissions where Mezzmo server does not have rights to access your media files that are stored on a NAS or external computer. See this FAQ to fix this problem - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...r-home-network.

If that does not help, then it's best we see a set of logs. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Connect to Mezzmo from your TV and then reproduce the playback problem. Then stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Zip up all the logs and upload them to a filesharing site liek Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, mega.co.nz, etc. and email the download link to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
