Thread: Blu Ray Text Subtitles

    Default Blu Ray Text Subtitles

MakeMKV and MKVToolNix are currently in the process of perfecting a method of extracting Blu Ray Text Subtitles into Matroska files.

It's early days yet, but the subtitles are already fully function within blu ray structures and have been since day one, it's just no one has bothered supporting them up to now.

When I finally get a file with these subtitles properly muxed inside, who would I have to kill to get support for them trickling into Mezzmo?

Mezzmo supports both external and embedded subtitles for all popular video formats - including MKV files. Mezzmo will stream these to your devices. If your devices do not support embedded subtitles, then Mezzmo will auto-extract them as external subtitles and either stream them to your devices or (if your device does not support external subtitles) burn the embedded subtitles into a transcoded video so that they can be viewed on your device.

When you get one of these video files, right-click on it in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'. Post that information here and let us know what devices you wish to stream to and we'll help you get up and running with your devices.
