If you wish to have simple playlist that lists all your files, or files with a certain criteria (such as just movies), then a smart playlist is the best choice.

    A few examples:

    A) Follow these steps to create a playlist of all your videos:

    1. In Mezzmo, click on Videos in the tree in Mezzmo.
    2. Click 'Create Playlist' -> 'Smart Playlist'.
    3. On the Smart Playlist Properties dialog, give your playlist a name - such as 'All My Videos'.
    4. Add a rule as:
      [File type] [video]
    5. Select the 'Video files' radio button and click OK.
    6. You should now see a smart playlist that lists all your video files.

    B) Follow these steps to create a playlist of all your music:

    1. In Mezzmo, click on Music in the tree in Mezzmo.
    2. Click 'Create Playlist' -> 'Smart Playlist'.
    3. On the Smart Playlist Properties dialog, give your playlist a name - such as 'All My Music'.
    4. Add a rule as:
      [File type] [music]
    5. Select the 'Music files' radio button and click OK.
    6. You should now see a smart playlist that lists all your music files.

    C) Follow these steps to create a playlist of all your movies:

    1. In Mezzmo, click on Videos in the tree in Mezzmo.
    2. Click 'Create Playlist' -> 'Smart Playlist'.
    3. On the Smart Playlist Properties dialog, give your playlist a name - such as 'All My Movies'.
    4. Add 3 rules as:
      [File type] [video]
      [Category][contains][Movie]
      [Category][does not contains][Home movie]
    5. Select the 'Video files' radio button and click OK.
    6. You should now see a smart playlist that lists all your movie files.

There are many more ways to set criteria to find & list the files you are interested in.

You can also set the 'Sort by' combo box setting to list the files in the order that you want to.
