Thread: Moving Transcoded Files

    Default Moving Transcoded Files

    Hello Conceiva,

    Questions:

    1. I know how to specify a different temporary folder for Pre-transcoded files but how do I move my existing Pre-transcoded files to a folder on a different drive?

    2. After I Pre-transcode a file, can I remove the original .MKV file from my system? The video files in my Mezzmo library are organized with one video file, usually a movie, in its own folder. Would I need a shortcut link placed into each folder that would point to the Pre-transcode file? Should I be moving the Pre-transcoded file from its temporary folder to the video folder where I stored the .MKV file?

    3. Does the FFMPEG transcoder handle 3D video files?

    Regards,

    JimK

    Hi JimK,

    Some answers:

    1. All your transcoded files are stored in Mezzmo's transcoding folder. You can set the location for this folder using the Transcoding Settings dialog. When you change the transcoding folder location in the Transcoding Settings dialog and click OK, all your existing transcoded files are moved to this new folder location.
    2. After transcoding a file, you can use that transcoded file for streaming and remove the original file. Right-click on the original file in Mezzmo and click Properties. On the Properties dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and select the transcoded file listed there and click 'Save As' to save the transcoded file to a location on your computer. Now you have transcoded file on disk just like any other regular media file. So click 'Add To Library' -> 'Add Files...' in Mezzmo to add this file into your Mezzmo library. Once done, if you wish you can remove your original file from Mezzmo (simply select it and press the DEL key) and remove the file from disk.
    3. Mezzmo can stream 3D video to your devices and FFmpeg can transcode 3D video. See this FAQ - http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...o-your-devices
