    Default Chromecast and Mezzmo

So lets say I start a movie up with the Mezzmo app on my Android by going to Media and picking the movie. The movie plays fine and I get to the credits so I turn the TV off and go to bed. That is when the fun starts, Mezzmo won't stop playing my movie when its over but it goes onto the next movie in alphabetical order and plays it and so on. Last night it took me a while to figure this out as my TV kept turning on with a different movie playing. My TV has Regza link and when the new movie starts it turns on and back to that input for the Chromecast.

So I guess my question is, is there a setting somewhere to stop after the video has completed (and no the shuffle or repeat options are selected) or even manually send a single movie to my TV from my Mezzmo server yet?

On my TV there is a setting to continue automatically, switch off after 1, 2 or 3 hours, or don't do anything automatically and then it stops after playing a movie..

I'm sure your hardware will have a similar setting..
but yes, if your hardware continues to request mezzmo to keep streaming, it will keep streaming.
That's intended.. it streams what the client requests..

    Hi doublejz,

When you touch a file to play it in Mezzmo (Android) app, that file and all the other files in the current folder/playlist you are browsing are added to the PLAYLIST tab. The PLAYLIST tab is the list of files that Mezzmo (Android) app will play on your device(s). When one file has finished playing, then Mezzmo (Android) app looks to see if there is another file following that file in the PLAYLIST tab and then plays it.

There are 3 different ways to fix your problem:

    1. When you are finished watching the movie, go to the PLAYING tab in Mezzmo (Android) app and touch the 'Stop' button. This tells Mezzmo (Android) app to stop playing the current file and stop playing any subsequent files.
    2. Or, when you are finished watching the movie, exit Mezzmo (Android) app on your Android device. This means Mezzmo (Android) app will not be running so it will not try to play subsequent files from the PLAYLIST tab.
    3. Or, when you choose to play a file, if you just want that single file listed in the PLAYLIST tab and not the full list files from the folder/playlist, then long touch on the file in the MEDIA tab and it will display a popup menu. Touch 'Queue File'. Just this file will be added to the PLAYLIST tab. Now go to the PLAYING tab and touch Play. (Tip: If you wish to remove all files from the PLAYLIST tab, touch the 'X' button on the Action bar at the top of the PLAYLIST tab).

Thanks, Paul. It sounds like Option 3 will be the route I will try later tonight. Thanks!
