Currently, Mezzmo does not allow private file naming styles to be added, but it is something we may add into a future version of Mezzmo.
An alternative for you is to generate matching external metadata files (.XML, .TGMD, .NFO) and Mezzmo will read these external metadata files to collect the key information about your video files (e.g. TV series, season, episode, movie name, date, etc.) and then use that to gather text metadata and artwork from the web. This would mean that you do not have to change your preferred filenaming layout. If you need help with this, let us know.
Regarding your Oppo not displaying artwork, Mezzmo server delivers all text metadata and artwork to your devices using standard DLNA/UPnP information. It is up to your device's firmware to display it or not. If another media server is displaying artwork on your Oppo, then let us know and we'll be able to tweak Mezzmo server and/or the Oppo BDP 103 device profile to also do this.
