Thread: Stopping any playlist from automatically playing the next item

Default Stopping any playlist from automatically playing the next item

I am new to Mezzmo and have been working hard to read, search and learn how to configure my media server.

One issue I have found is that when I select a movie from the list on my Sony BDP-S590 blu-ray player, it will continue to play the next movie on the list once one is completed.

Is there a way (I'm sure I'm just missing something) that I can prevent this from happening?

I am looking to have my media served to all my devices, yet not automatically play the next item in the list by default.

I have some items (music, kids videos, etc) that I don't mind if they play one right after the other and that is fine.

Thank you for reviewing my question.

Are you using the select button or the play button on your BDP-S590 ? I believe the select button just plays the one you are positioned on whereas the I believe the play button will play the one you are positioned on and everything after. Also, make sure you don't have the repeat option enabled on your BDP-S590.

Playing the next file in your folder or playlist is a feature of your DLNA device. Mezzmo server simply streams whatever files have been requested by your device(s). Typically, devices have a Repeat setting and this has 3 modes - Repeat off, Repeat Playlist and Repeat File. It seems you device has Repeat playlist turned on by default. See if you can turn it to Repeat Off. Press the Settings or Options button on your device's remote control whilst playing a file to access your device's Repeat settings.
