Default No subtitles - Samsung JS9000 and JS9500

I have a new Samsung JS9500 TV and simply cannot get any subtitles to show at all from mezzmo 4.1.3. The TV is obviously not in the device profiles list so I have chosen "Samsung H (UHD)" which I assume is the closest match being the previous Samsung models from last year. However No matter what I try, nothing appears on the TV (the video plays fine but no subtitles at all). The subtitles all play fine on the pc using SMplayer and VLC. The subtitles are in SRT format and I have tried right clicking on the video file in Mezzmo and adding/removing/converting the subtitles to a different format but nothing works.

We're happy to create a new "Samsung J" device profile for you. To do this, we'll need a few things:

    • Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Go to the Media Devices dialog and edit your TV. On the Device Settings dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and delete all transcoded files. Now, connect to Mezzmo server from your TV and try playing a video that you know has .SRT external subtitles. When the video is playing, try pressing the Options or Tools or Subtitles button on your remote control to see if you can select the available subtitles on-screen. After that, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
    • Right-click on the video you just streamed and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'. Email this information to us.
    • Zip up the external .SRT file for the video you just played and email that to us also.

Once we get all of this, we'll create a new device profile for you to try that should get you up and running.
