Just noticed in my Mezzmo\Artwork\Poster folder that there are many images still residing even though the media files are already deleted from the database and even my harddrive. How can i clean that up? Or is it a known issue?

We have improved cleaning up artwork for the upcoming Mezzmo v5.0. In your case, can you tell us a few file names of the poster files that are still present in your Artwork\Poster folder? That may give us a clue if we are missing cleaning up certain files.
Tip: If you have deleted all your media files from your Mezzmo library and wish to start with a fresh, clean Mezzmo library, then the recommended approach is to use the "Reset Database" button on the Options dialog (General page). This will remove all existing Mezzmo database files + artwork files and creates a new Mezzmo database with the default set of playlists for you.

basically there are still artwork images from hard disk which were once installed but then removed. i have a daily maintain library running with a checkmark set on "remove media files from your mezzmo library that cannot be found on your computer". shouldn't that remove them? i've now deleted all artwork files and did a library maintenance. there were 5000 images not connected to a video file in the artwork folder. mostly of them were dvr recordings which only were watched once.
OK - we'll double-check this for the upcoming Mezzmo v5.0.

I think I saw this in Mezzmo 5.0.4.0, though the sequence of events was a bit unusual:
1. In Mezzmo 4.1.3.0, I was trying something out and I added a folder which, within subfolders, had around 8,000 graphics files. Shortly thereafter, I deleted the folder from the playlist that contained it, but I didn’t remove the items from the Mezzmo database. Yes... pretty stupid of me; but it set the stage for the next part.
2. I’ve recently set up a new server on which I’ve installed Mezzmo 5.0.4.0. I’ve also copied all the files from the old server. I did a backup of the Mezzmo 4.1.3.0 database and restored from that backup to Mezzmo 5.0.4.0. Mezzmo gave the message about importing, then the message about converting to a Mezzmo 5 database. I used the Change Paths tool in Mezzmo to change paths of items in the database to their new locations, and everything worked as expected.
3. At some point, I realized I had around 8,000 photos in the database, where I only expected around 100. That’s when I thought back about what I’d done (1 above) and realized I never removed those items from the database.
4. I set up a smart playlist based on the folder path of the items I didn’t want in the database, then selected all the items and deleted them from the database. That worked; I now have only the 100 or so photos I should have. I then used the Compact Database tool.
5. However, subsequent investigation showed that the thumbnails for the 8,000 pictures I had just deleted were still in the Artwork folder in the database. I was able to identify them by their names (which included the original path to the folder I never should have added) and delete them directly.
With all those steps, maybe it’s expected that Mezzmo would have lost track of the artwork files; but it seems like they should have been deleted when I deleted the items for which they were thumbnails.
Oh, just a quick thought... if it doesn’t already do this, would it make sense for the Compact Database tool to include a step in which it checks every file in the Artwork folder to verify that it is associated with at least one extant database entry?
Above, I sloppily said “thumbnails.” The files in question were the ones in the Artwork\Poster folder.
