    Default mkv files unsupported

Hello, for some reason, Mezzmo has decided to stop playing videos in mkv format. It used to, though I can't say if that was before or after I changed mobos and OS a few weeks back. Now I get an unsupported format error. If I use an alternate DLNA service on my Samsung UN46D6000 the files play fine. Help please?

    Hi Gary,

Go to the Media Devices dialog in Mezzmo and check the device profile that is assigned to your TV. It should be 'Samsung D'. Also edit your TV on the Media Devices dialog and, on the Device Settings dialog, go to the Transcoding tab and check that transcoding is turned on. After making any changes, restart your Mezzmo server and try streaming now.

If still no success, then it's best we see a set of logs. Turn on logging (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Now try streaming your MKV to your Tv and when it fails, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. Also, right-click on the MKV file in Mezzmo and click 'Get FFmpeg Information'. Send us this information as well.

I had already checked the device profile, per your instructions in another thread re the unsupported format error.

This turned out to be an easy fix. I noticed, poking around the Media Device interface, that the entry for my TV had no IP address. It had a MAC address, so I guess it was at least minimally functional. When I hit the Refresh button on the media devices screen, Mezzmo spawned another TV, but with a good IP address. I deleted the original, incomplete, device, then "rebooted" Mezzmo. Once started, the TV opened the mkv files as usual. Another lesson learned in some quick troubleshooting.
