Thread: IP addresses

    Default IP addresses

Looking at the Media Devices list in Mezzmo, I noticed that one is in a strange range. It is 192.168.173.1. All the others are in the normal range expected on a home network (192.168.0.nnn). I have set it to Deny for now. Shoud I be worried about this and delete it?
    Thanks Maurice

What has happened is that a device at this IP address on your home network has communicated with Mezzmo server and Mezzmo server has detected it and listed it in the Media Devices dialog.

You can do a few things if you are worried about it. You can delete it if you like, since you are not actively streaming to it. Or, you can also leave it and if you don't want this device to communicate with Mezzmo server, then you can set the Connect status to "Deny" for this IP address in the Media Device dialog When set to "Deny", Mezzmo server will reject any form of communication from that device/IP address.
