Hi,
This post follows my previous one here.
The thing is that I do not want to pretranscode files with Mezzmo since my TV supports all formats without issues. I want only to remux the videos with mezzmo only to be able to stream with embedded subtitles as well.
Remuxing works great some times but 90% of the time, Mezzmo will stop streaming after a few seconds in and I have to restart the video in order to get it to continue to play. Even then, Mezzmo will most likely freeze after a few minutes and I have to rinse and repeat.
After a lot of troubleshooting and fidgeting with my settings, changing routers and moving from a laptop to a high end desktop the issue has not been resolved.
Today I was messing around with a few different device profiles and I had a breakthrough. I selected the profile "Android to MX Player" instead of Sony KDL 2014 models and I tried playing an mkv file and it played through to the end without issues!!! I then tried to play other files but unfortunately I only got sound and no video.
So the KDL 2014 models profiles plays every format but freezes intermittently but the MX Player plays only mkv without freezing at all. Is it possible to make some changes to the Sony profile in order to include the seamless streaming of the MX Player profile but with all formats?
The network isn't the problem obviously because the file always freezes at the same exact point when played through the Sony profile (transcoding/remuxing at 3000 fps) while the MX Player profile (transcoding/remuxing at 150 fps) plays through to the end without hiccups.
You can find logs of both device profiles streaming the same file to the tv attached below.
