Default Sharp Aquos "cannot play file"

After not being able to get Windows Media Player to work properly as a video server, I read about Mezzmo. On a 15 day trial so see if I want to buy it and I am not having any better luck with it.

I have a Buffalo Linkstation NAS with all of my videos. I have a new Dell laptop running Mezzmo, which I just installed and set up last night. And I have a Sharp Aquos 55" with DLNA. On the Sharp Aquos, I can see the Mezzmo server and I can see all of my movies. My problem is that not one of them will play, not even the files that I can play directly from the Linkstation to the TV because they are a compatible file type for the Aquos. I tried pre-transcoding one video to see if that would work, but I get the same error "cannot play file".

I really would like to get something working so I don't have to plug in my laptop every time I want to watch something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually, finally figured it out. Just for anybody else, it had to do with Folders Permissions. I did both steps from the FAQ's from here:

I have tried giving system permissions and when I try to play any file from my Mezzmo server on my mezzmo app, its still says "Unable to play file".

Do you have any other clues as to why this might still be happening to me?

Perhaps it's best to send us a set of logs and we'll know why it's happening to you. Turn on logging in Mezzmo (see http://forum.conceiva.com/showthread...nostic-logging) and restart your Mezzmo server. Exit Mezzmo (Windows) app and then start it again. Now reproduce the error you are getting. Once reproduced, stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app. Zip up all the logs and email them to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.
