Default Making Profile for Orange Livebox TV

    Hello Mezzmo users

I am trying to make the best Mezzmo profile for my Orange Livebox TV. I have started from the Generic Device (PAL) profile and it is working well but I think I can make something better .

The Livebox is able to play the generic MPEG container provided in this Generic Profile. It cannot play .mkv or .mp4 files without reencoding but it can play both h264 and mpeg video streams.

So I have set the mpeg container as "preferred encoded = 1" and, inside it, set both mpeg and h264.

What I would like to do is , that when It get a wrong container, Mezzmo only remux h264 or mpeg streams in a correct one but, for the time being I can only set one to do this. I mean, either I set h264 as encodable then h264 is remux only and mpeg are recoded as h264 either I set mpeg as encodable then mpeg are remux only and h264 reencode as mpeg

What I try to do is : when I get a supported video flux in a not supported container, never reencode it (and have this behavior for all supported video formats, not only one..)

I have tried to set both format as "encoded=1" but only one is used by the on the fly encoder

    Has someone got an idea?

    Thanks

    Rirou

You can set both codecs inside the container as encodable and Mezzmo will encode to either of them. I suggest you zip your .PRF device profile and email it to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com. We'll try it here and see what's going wrong for you.

    Thank you Paul,
The solution you have proposed is working
I will do additional tests (on many different video formats) to be 100% sure that the profile is working properly then I will send you the file. (I have already detect an issue on a specific h264 sub-format)
I'll be glad if you can use include it on a future Mezzmo release. Orange is the main Internet Provider in France and it provides its Livebox TV box to all its Customer (5 millions in France). So if Mezzmo gets a specific profile working on it, it should help many
As soon as I end my tests I will send it to Mezzmo support.

    best regards
