    Unhappy Mezzmo 5 and Transcodes

    Hi,
Upgraded to Version 5...went well, BUT...all movies that were transcoded now read NOT transcoded. The transcode files still exist, but not linked. Any way to re-link these or do I have to start from scratch?
    Thanks
    Phil

    Hi Phil,

That is a strange result. We'll investigate this for you and fix it up. To do this, we'll need the following from you:

    1. In Mezzmo (Windows) app, go to the Options dialog (General page) and make a note of the folder location of your Mezzmo database.
    2. Stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app.
    3. Using Windows Explorer, go to the Mezzmo database folder on your computer.
    4. Zip up the 'Mezzmo.db' and 'MezzmoTranscode.db' files. Upload the ZIP file to a filesharing site (such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.) and email us the download link.

Once we get your ZIP file, we be able to see what's going wrong and fix it up for you.

Thanks for the database files. Your transcoding database does have ~12 entries in it. Your transcoded files exist on your \\PENNYLANE\Volume_2\... network location. If this network location is not available for any reason when you go to the Properties dialog (Transcoding tab) in Mezzmo (Windows) app, then the transcoded entries for that particular file are removed from the Transcoding database - since Mezzmo thinks that the transcoded files no longer exist on disk. Make sure that your \\PENNYLANE\Volume_2\ network location is accessible and then try to view transcoded files for other videos (e.g. Snowpiercer, Spectre, The Wild, Killing Lincoln, etc.).
