    Default Manually Backing Up Database

I see manually backing up the database hasn't really been fixed at all. It takes a very long time, the app keeps saying "not responding" and then eventually crashes.... About half of the time.

Backing up the Mezzmo database can take a long time (e.g. 5-10 minutes) depending on the size of your Mezzmo database & associated files (posters, backdrops, etc.). We have not seen crashes during backups in v5.0 Beta testing. Please upload the crash dump files to a filesharing site (such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.) and email the download link to us at support [at] conceiva [dot] com.

Does the built in backup routine do anything special other than copy the contents of the Mezzmo folder to where you specify? I only ask because it takes ages for the backup (probably due to the many thumbnail images in my Poster folder). I have a separate sync. backup routine that I use to back up key folders on my PC and this is a lot quicker as it only syncs. items that have changed.

The backup features does just copy the various database files & artwork files to your desired location. Note: It does stop your Mezzmo server and stop all User Tasks and System Tasks before starting the copy process. If you wish to do this manually, then make sure your stop your Mezzmo server and exit Mezzmo (Windows) app beforehand.

I always get the not responding, but for me its more of a windows issue than a Mezzmo issue

If I ignore Mezzmo while its doing this all works fine
If I click anything within Mezzmo when windows reports it as not responding windows reports it as crashed and closes it

I occasionaly see this with other things as well, if something is taking a while windows flags it as not responding, even though it just busy doing something

Your thoughts are right. Paul. Windows does that to any process that is busy for a certain period of time. You just need to wait patiently until the backup has completed.

What folder is the crash dump file in? The crash I am getting is the one where Windows gets "tired" of waiting for the application to respond and says to end the application.
