    Question Mezzmo 5 Plugins

    Hi,

Where can we find more Mezzmo plugins? Currently there are few plugins to add channels, but it would be great to have wider choice. Also, is there a documentation on creating plugins?

    Regards,
    Milan

    Hi Milan,

We will be adding more plugins for each update that we release, so you will see more coming soon. We also take requests so if you want a particular type of channel, let us know and we'll see if it is possible .

Our new wiki that we are writing now will have development notes for plugin developers.

    Thanks!

It would be great to see YouTube plugin where you can specify YouTube channel, playlist or keaywords (and quality - SD, HD...).

    Regards,
    Milan

SVT Play would be nice to have (http://www.svtplay.se/)

Furthermore it might be handy to have a forum section just for plug-ins. Was a bit disappointed that there was not much information on the new features with the release.

    Hi Milan,

Actually a new feature in Mezzmo v5.0 is direct support for YouTube videos - so there's no need for a YouTube channel .

Simply copy and paste a YouTube video URL, channel URL or playlist URL into Mezzmo and Mezzmo will add it to your library. You add your YouTube URLs via the 'Add To Library' -> 'Add URL' toolbar item. This works for 700+ websites like YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, etc.

You should be able to add your SVT Play URLs directly into Mezzmo via the 'Add To Library' -> 'Add URL' toolbar item. At this stage, Mezzmo v5.0 does not support playlists for SVT Play. We'll look at adding that.

We will have lots more information about all the new features. We're just writing it all up now in our new wiki.

Do you have any web site links for these Israel IPTV channels? If there are none, then we cannot create online channels or add them into Mezzmo.

    Hey Paul,

Any chance we could get a list for the video sites that work with Mezzmo. It would take the guess work out of what sites work that way we can visit the supported sites and start adding.

For Mezzmo v5.0, we have incorporated a very cool python-based component called youtube-dl using our new python-based plugin architecture. You can see their supported sites here - https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/supportedsites.html.

Mezzmo v5.0 checks for new versions of youtube-dl every 24 hours and automatically updates your youtube-dl component on disk to make sure you have the latest site support in Mezzmo (as you probably know, many of these sites regularly change the way they list or stream videos, music and photos).
