Default Mezzmo 5 - Samsung C TV issues

    Hi,
finally made the jump to v5 [looking fwd to URL playlists]. Only a couple of small issues when using my Samsung C series TV, i will send the logs asap. But just to give you a headsup...

    1. There is a quite a delay when viewing my Music folder. My tree structure is only 1 deep. So it's:
    \music\artist-album.
So the \music folder has hundreds of folders. The previous version displayed the main Music folder on the TV in a couple of seconds, v5 takes around 30seconds and will also sometimes crash the TV.

    2. Left/Right arrows on the TV will jump 20seconds fwd/back. Previously this was pretty instant. v5 has a small delay and also a spinning circle + 'preparing to play..'. It's not a huge delay but v4 was quite snappy and it was easy to jumpy through a video. v5 is now quite slow at this.

    3. Lastly, the Samsung LA profile still has padding=1. This changes all covers to letterbox mode which isnt required. The C series covers are 108x65 and the black bars simply squash the covers. I've amended my profile back to padding=0 and it's fine but just incase you want to update the source for future versions.

I will capture logs for #1 and #2 asap.

    cheers
    Gus

    Hi Gus,

Thanks for the feedback. We've had a few users also report #1 and #2. We think we've fixed the issue and we are preparing a v5.0.2.0 minor release for later in the week that contains all the latest fixes. We do have a patch available now with this fix and we'll supply it to you after we get your logs via email.

And, thanks for letting us know about the Samsung C device profile. We'll fix that up.

Gus: Do you just change the padding to "0" or do you also change the <maxdimensions> tags also for the Samsung C device profile? Perhaps zip up your .PRF device profile and email it to us to make sure we get it right. Many thanks.

    Hi
i simply amend the padding=1 which is in the jpeg_thm tag at the end of the file (from memory, as i am at work just now).
That is all i need to change.
As a side note, i do need to recreate any thumbs that were squashed while padding was 1. It's not a huge issue but the thumbs are already only 65 high so every bit counts.

Re the Patch, it's no hassle i can wait for the 5.0.2 release.

    cheers
