Default Mezzmo error on when iphone connected to Windows 7 64-bit

I did a search on the forums but did not find an answer to this.

Whenever I connect my iPhone with Mezzmo running I get this error:

    "Could not detect iPod.
Please start iTunes and have iPod detected first."

This is very annoying as it also takes focus from any other program (including full screen games if you are running them).

How do I get this to stop?

    Thanks.

The easiest way to get this to stop is to add your iPhone to iTunes and that'll make Mezzmo happy next time you plug it in. There's no option in Mezzmo to stop detecting iPhones at the moment, but I'll put this up for discussion, as it sounds like a useful feature.

Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. Full details at http://www.conceiva.com/products/mez...mo_android.asp
Mezzmo for Kodi Add-on: Install it into Kodi to stream files from your Mezzmo library directly in Kodi. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...odi_user_guide
Mezzmo for Roku App: Install it onto your Roku to stream files from your Mezzmo library. Full details at http://www.mezzmo.com/wiki/doku.php?...oku_user_guide

    Thanks for the reply.

But my iPhone is already added to iTunes. Yet I still get the error.

For instance. Mezzmo is running and I plug in the iPhone to charge, whether or not iTunes is running I get the error. If Mezzmo is not running, with iTunes running and the iPhone recognized if I then start Mezzmo I get the error.

Mezzmo shows this same behavior when there is an iPod associated with the system. As soon as the iPod is connected to charge, Mezzmo stops everything to announce that the iPod could not be detected. This is odd because the iPod was just connected and Mezzmo only pops up this message at that time, so the iPod must have been "detected". Besides that, I cannot think of a reason why a media server program should be designed to pop up messages based on connection or non-connection of external devices. I hope Conceiva fixes this in the next version.

I installed iphone app "ML Player Lite" which works on my iphone3

Photos and music are no problems.

Videos did work, but now having a few problems where videos do not work
-- My priority is for Mezzmo to address a few issues for me which which Dennis advises are being addressed and I am looking forward to the February update.

The support from Dennis, Adric and the rest of the Conceiva team is unbelievable.
-- If you have not bought Mezzmo yet, it is worth buying now

Mezzmo is a fantastic application, I control everything with my TV remote with no other devices or remotes
-- just turn on the computer and do nothing.

The reason why Mezzmo detects your iPod is because it can add it to the Library tree automatically and you could stream files from it to your device (or just add them to the Library). It must fail to connect to it properly and thus brings up that message box. We'll look into why it may fail.

The bug is still on our list. Now that we have released v2.2, we will try to get time to fix this issue. I'll report back when it is done.

Update: We have reproduced the problem and fixed it. The fix will be included in the upcoming minor update we are currently preparing (v2.2.1.0). The upcoming release is a free upgrade for all registered users and you will be notified via Mezzmo's autoupdate when it is available.
